Welcome: A note from new Chamber President & CEO Rob Wonderling

Posted Monday, September 14th, 2009

As the new President & CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, I look forward to working with you to attract, retain and grow jobs in our region. The Chamber is the leading business advocacy organization of 5,000 member companies that promotes growth and economic development in the 11-county region, advocates for sound public policy, and delivers strong member services and programs.

My previous background includes a record of public service combined with a successful career in private industry and the nonprofit sector to the Chamber. As a Senator (R-24th), I have been committed to promoting economic development and job creation, modernizing infrastructure, maintaining access to high quality health care services, and reducing the tax burden on all Pennsylvanians.

I hope to see you at the upcoming YPN event in October for a discussion on how the Chamber and its affiliates can assist young entrepreneurs and families prosper as well what should be part of the agenda to advance the region’s businesses. These goals reflect my lifelong interest in innovation and economic expansion. I encourage you to get involved and take advantage of the benefits provided with your YPN membership – monthly networking events, professional development programs, volunteer opportunities, Committee work and discounts at many Chamber events. In the coming months, I look forward to hearing from you and working with you make Greater Philadelphia the leader where young adults can live, work and start a business. I can be reached at rwonderling@greaterphilachamber.com.
