DEAR Event Re-Cap
YPN members Drop Everything and Read at McClure Elementary School
This past October, the Young Professionals Network started a relationship with McClure Elementary School through Greater Philadelphia Cares Day. McClure is a K-4 school with 25 classrooms. The YPN team enjoyed their experience and wanted to continue to help create a better school for the community and positively impact the children, therefore in December, YPN held a book drive at our monthly networking event.

It is often said that knowledge is power and connections are key. YPN gives young professionals the opportunity to learn from prominent business leaders and public officials, and the opportunity to connect with the movers, shakers, and decision makers from around the region. As a reflection of these statements, YPN is proud to announce its new tagline “Gaining Knowledge, Building Relationships.”
Nominate a Peer for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
This year marks the 25th Annual Excellence Awards celebration by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. The awards acknowledge the accomplishments of small businesses and the contributions they make to our regional economy. The Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes a founder, CEO or President of a company that is under the age of 40, and has had a positive and diverse social impact on the region. Want to meet other new members and get an overview of the organization? Join YPN Board members John White and Lawrence Williams on the first Wednesday of every month at the Chamber for YPN New Member Orientation.
The next YPN New Member Orientation will be on Wednesday, May 2nd at 5:30PM. The orientation is an hour and will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce located at 200 S.
